    Surcharged by the Zanzibar Gazette 1896 (Aug): India provisional 2½ in red on 2 a. dull blue, a single example used in combination with 1896 BEA overprinted 4½ a. orange-yellow, 5 a. yellow-bistre and 7½ a. mauve on Zanzibar Government imprinted envelope to 'HMS Philomel', all tied by "Zanzibar" bridge datestamps (Aug 17) in black. Delightful and rare.
