    Overprinted at the Zanzibar Gazette 1895/96: India 1 a. plum overprinted in blue and 1 a. 6 p. sepia with small raised second "z", used on 1896 cover addressed to Lieut. E. Scott, 2nd. in Command of the Mombasa Contingent at the Fort in Mombasa; tied by "Zanzibar" bridge datestamps (Jan 10) in black. Mombasa arrival cds (Jan 11) on reverse.
