    Overprinted at the Zanzibar Gazette 1895/96: India 1 a. plum surcharged in blue, a used horizontal pair of good colour, both stamps showing variety "small second "z" in Zanzibar" and "inverted "q" for "b" in Zanzibar", cancelled by Zanzibar thimble datestamps in black.
