    1915 (Jan): German East Africa 2½ h. brown, handstamped "G.R. / MAFIA" in reddish violet, a fine unused block of four, marginal from base of sheet, three handstamped with light impressions, one at lower with variety "Handstamped OIverprint Omitted" and  initialled "JDM" by Lt. Col. J.D. Mackay, Governor of Mafia Island in manuscript ink. Trivial age spot otherwise fine and very rare, part og. with lower pair unmounted og. Probably just 100-150 stamps overprinted in total, a rare and exceptional multiple. Signed Holcombe. Cert.
