Mombasa Provisonals 1891 (March): Provisional "1 Anna" in manuscript on 4 a. yellow-brown, watermarked, a used horizontal pair, corner marginal from top right of sheet, countersigned "AB" (Archibald Brown, chief cashier of the Imperial British East Africa Co.) in black ink with 1890 ½ a. dull brown, 4 a. yellow-brown and 1 r. carmine all on 1891 cover front to Glasgow tied by MOMBASA code A circular datestamps (July 2) in black. The sole recorded multiple of this stamp on cover, the only other multiple being on piece (see Miins page 45).
