    1855/57: Great Brtain 6 d. deep lilac in a horizontal pair, used on 1862 mourning envelope endorsed "Private" and "via Marseilles" addressed to Sir Henry Barkly, Governor of the Colony of Victoria in Melbourne (in office 1856-1863), neatly tied by London / 78 duplexes (Aug 26) in black. Melbourne arrival cds (Oct 9) on reverse in red.
