    1889: De La Rue Essay for proposed 4 c. value, sheet marginal at right, in carmine & blue - the SEYCHELLES legend and Duty Plate hand-painted in blue. Initialled in margin in red manuscript by the Crown Agents and adhered to tissue paper, slight crease but a delightful and rare Essay. Illustrated in "The De La Rue Collection" edited by Frank Walton RDP on page 5630. Wonderful and extremely rare.rnrnProvenance: Collection Cdr.
