    1882, 6 d. mauve, perf 12 x 10, horizontal pair, used, variety "Imperforate" between pair, cancelled by black postmark, right hand stamp has vertical crease, ragged perfs. in places,  otherwise fine, a rare error of printing. Cert. BPA (2013). Gi = £3'750.rnRemark: The discovery of this error was first recorded in the 'Australian Stamp Journal' in July 1911 when a bank correspondence was sold to the Sydney stamp dealer Fred Hagen, yielding a used vertical block containing nine imperforate pairs. This is believed to have been split and there is now a block of six in the H. L. White collection in the State Library of New South Wales, leaving six pairs available to collectors, of which one is damaged and one unaccounted for.rnrnProvenance: Ex. G. J.
