    1884/97: Imperforate Plate Proof for the 2½ d. value in issued colour of ultramarine, imperforate with erratic but ample margins all round, red ink manuscript mostly removed at top and tiny part in right margin. One other example is recorded, ex 'Ayre /Jamestown' collection (lot 1165), however that example has suffered no attempt to remove the "BLS" initials in red manuscript.
