    1884/94: ½ d. emerald, wmk. Crown CA, perf. 14, the 1884 printing, used examples (2) with 1876 4 d. carmine, wmk. Crown CC, perf. 14 x 12½ in a horizontal pair and 1880 1 s. yellow-green, perf. 14 on 1890 registered double rate cover front to Paris, all tied by square dots obliterators in black. Oval "POST OFFICE / ♚  / ST. HELENA" cachet in violet at left (Mabbett PO.3 - earliest recorded usage) and "ST. HELENA" cds of despatch (April 22) in black at right, and oval registration cachet in red. London transit in red on front with "3" in red crayon credit to GB.
