    Recess by Perkins Bacon 1861: 6 d. purple-brown, clean cut perf. 14-16, wmk. Swan sideways, an unused example of good colour, showing variety Stock Control Accountancy mark " ---6 d." printed on the reverse of the stamp in purple-brown (normally found above the two top right corner stamps on obverse of the sheet margin), unused without gum. A most unusual variety Gi = £ 550+.
