    1923: Essays by Waterlow for proposed Airmail Issue (2), unadopted, imperforate photographic Essays each for 6 lei value, each marked "Duplicate" and dated "25th Aug. 1923" in ink; one lettered "C", the other "C2", each with pencil manuscript "Original retouched". One with slight soiling and the other with crack in card, to be expected with working Proofs, but a very rare pair. Ex collection Sassower.
