    1872: Paris print 5 b. bistre in a horizontal pair and single 10 b. blue, used on 1872 unpaid cover to Vienna tid by "PITESTI" circular datestamps (Oct 20) in black (Kiriac fig. 505). Framed "P.D." in blue applied at right, this over-struck by "AFFRANCHISEMENT / INSUFFISANT" handstamp in same ink. Itzcany border transit cds (Oct 22) on flap with Vienna arrival (Oct 24). The Due amount (2 x 25 bani, less 20 bani = 30 bani) seemingly remaining uncollected. A fine cover mailed in the first month of use of the Paris issue. Ex collection Sassower.
