    Austrian PO's 1846: Entire letter to Lyons, France struck on despatch with superb two line dated "BUKAREST / 3 OKT" handstamp in black (Tchilinghirian fig. 710, earliest recorded usage) with black TA and "Autriche / St. Louis" entry mark (Oct 18g) in red. Rastel punched for disinfection at Rothenthurn with red wax seal and fair strike of black cachet on reverse; charged '26' décimes due on arrival. Slight burn mark but an important entire. Ex collection Sassower.
