    First Watermark 1913: Kangaroo 3 d. olive, Die I, first Crown over A wmk., perf. 12, a used example on 'Roo 1 d. red postal stationery envelope sent registered to the diamond mining district of Namaqualand in South Africa, neatly tied by "Smoky Bay / Sth Australia" datestamps (June 29, 1914) in black, with blank registration label similarly tied at left. Reverse with 'Springbok' arrival cds (Aug 7). A charming and scarce usage.
