    1912: Kangaroo & Map Essay for 2 d. value, printed by Rudolf Steel, Imperforate with large margins all round (27 x 34 mm.), printed in red on smooth unwatermarked paper. The Essay was derided for the tuft of grass to the left of the 'Roo, labelled 'Rabbit's Ears'. Trace of marginal tiny thin mentioned for full accuracy, note the dsplash of red ink in margin to lower right of stamp, a spectacular and wonderful Essay.
