Official 1895: Printed OHMS envelope for Dept. of Lands & Survey (this deleted with manuscript "L. Colony" inserted), showing circular "MINISTER OF LANDS AND SURVEY / FRANK STAMP / VICTORIA" in black cancelled "LEONGATHA / 1592" duplex (May 5, 1895) in black. Rewverse with Melbourne arrival (May 9). A fine usage.rnrnNote: Leongatha was a Labour Colony built to house, clothe and feed working men during the depression of the 1890's. Most could be called questionable Social experiments that verged on social engineering, but were run on charitable lines.
