    Pictorial Issue 1911: Pictorial 1 d. red used on 1911 cover to Hobart tied by circular "LOOSE SHIP'S LETTER / POSTED AT / MACQUARIE ISLAND / S.Y. AURORA / A.A.E." with Penguin illustration, mailed from Douglas Mawson's first Antarctic Expedition. The "Aurora" departed from Hobart on 2 Dec 1911, accompanied as far as Macquarie Island by the "S.S. Toroa" which brought this card back to Hobart (Dec 21).
