Austrian Levant Shipmail, Origin Markings for Ship Letter 1867 (March 29): Printed matter Entire letter from Constantinople to Trieste, bearing 1863 Arms 2 s. yellow perf. 14, a fresh and fine example with good perforation and embossing, tied upon arrival by straight "LETTERE ARRIVATE / COL VAPORE / DAL LEVANTE" handstamp (Tchilinghirian fig. 99) in black, reverse with oval TRIEST arrival datestamp (April 3). An extremely rare single use of the first Arms issue on underpaid cover, maybe the sender thought, that to Trieste only the Lloyd printed matter fee of 2 soldi had to be paid. Taxed in Trieste as a full letter and charged with '18' soldi, resulting from 10 soldi for the Lloyd, 5 soldi for Austria and 5 soldi zutaxe minus the franking of 2 soldi. A spectacular item, signed Avanzo, certs. E. Diena (1988), Raybaudi (1989), Mentaschi (2013) Ferchenbauer = € 7'000.
