    1907: American Banknote Co. working Proofs for the full set of nine, composite Proofs with hand-painted or photographic vignettes glued within hand-painted frames; with 1 c. in grey & myrtle-green; 2 c. with frame only in deep violet annotated "Border red Bust violet"; 4 c. with frame only in olive-green; 5 c. in large format in black & orange annotated "Border blue, Monument black"; 10 c. in grey & red-brown; 20 c. in grey & dark green; 50 c. in yellowish-gfrey & black; 1 sol in grey & violet annotated "Border violet, vignette green"; and 2 sols black & blue. A splendid and unique group - hand painted Proofs are rarities from the ABN archive. Ex the Brian Moorhouse estate.
