    1918 (June 4): 'S.S. Kenilworth Castle' wreck cover (opened for display) franked with KGV 1d. from "Pretoria 24 Apr. 18" to a B.E.F. Royal Flying Corps member in France, redirected to Befast, Ireland, showing on reverse three line special cachet 'R.E.Postal Section L'don N.W.1 / Damaged by immersion / in sea water' in violet. The ship was used as a troop transport during WW I, surviving a collision with HMS Rival Eddystone June 4, 1918. 15 crew members were drowned and the ship was badly damaged. She safely made it into Plymouth where she then sank on a mud bank.
