    1857/1945: Accumulation British Commonwealth with strength in Ceylon including imperforate issues to 6d with shades, 1d imperforate with good to generous margins unused, later high values used including fine 1899 purple and red high value cancelled by 'COLOMBO REGISTERED'.  Other areas include Cape of Good Hope, Gibraltar, Gold Coast, here a fine range of village postmarks, Jamaica, Maldives, Malta, Tanganyika, New Zaland, and other areas. This lot contains a number of hidden gems which will require a very close inspection of this lot.
