    1851 (Sept 22): Prepaid entire letter to Bordeaux endorsed "Britons Queen via Ceylon & Marseille" struck on despatch with oval framed PACKET LETTER / MAURITIUS in red. From Galle carried on the "Haddington" to Suez, the "Pottinger" to Malta and the French Packet "Banshee" to Marseille. Bordeaux arrival (Nov 18) on reverse of a fine entire.
