    1852/57: Cartier 10 d. blue, an imperforate example on thick hard paper in a pale shade, just clear at upper right otherwise with good margins all round, an engraved Proof impression with some doubling of the design with the oval lightly repeated across the vignette; the reverse showing further blueing on the paper and what appears to be a fingerprint. Most unusual. Cert. RPSL (2021) stating "printer's preparatory material".
