    1851/52: Half-Length 1 d. bright pinky-red ("white veils", 3rd State of the Dies, Ham 5th printing) and 2 d. brown-lilac in a horizontal pair (4th State of the Dies, Ham 7th printing), used on 1851 cover from Bulla to Great Marlow, Bucks endorsed "By Hero" (which left Geelong on December 9, 1851), tied by Butterfly "V/45" handstamps in black. The adhesives with margins in places, especially at right on the 2 d. pair; reverse showing Port Phillip transit in blue, London cds in red (April 6, 1852) and double arc "Marlow" arrival cds of the same day. The John Barwis census, page 440-441, confirms that the 2 d. brown-lilac pair is the sole example on cover. A remarkable and rare cover. Cert. Ceremuga (2022).
