    1870 (March 20): Cover from Warsaw to Lyon bearing a mixed franking of 1865 10 kop. brown & blue in combination with 1866 1 kop. yellow & black (2), 3 kop. green & black with the wrong 'V' background (2), and 5 kop. in the rare shade grey-blue & black (2), all on horizontally laid paper, seven fine and fresh examples, tied by 1' square numeral of Warsaw, with matching WARSZAWA despatch, "P.D." and FRANCO handstamps, all in an oily red alongside. Obverse struck in addition by Prussian transit cds in red and French "PRUSSE ERQUELINES" cds in blue, reverse with another WARSZAWA cds, a French ambulant and Lyon arrival (March 23) cds's. On obverse a '5½' (silbergroschen) credit to France was noted in red crayon. Horizontal file fold well away from the amazing four-colour franking, nevertheless a most interesting and attractive usage, presumably a unique combination including the two errors, cert. Mikulski (1997).
