    1850 (Dec 21): Carta a mano 15 c. 'rosso mattone' type I, a fine example with good to large margins, tied by very rare MACCAGNO two-line datestamp (Sassone VA = 12 punti) to cover directed to Porto Valtravaglia. Some cover toning at base, nevertheless an appealing and sought after usage. Cert. Eichele (1999) Sassone = € 160 + 7'000.
