    1872: Entire letter from Lille to Bordeaux, bearing 1872 Cérès 1 c. olive, 2 c. red-brown (2), 5 c. green and 15 c. bistre small ciphers, tied by crisp Gros Chiffres '2046' lozenge, matching despatch cds (Aug 7, 75) in black alongside. Reverse with ambulants and indistinct arrival cds's. Horizontal file fold well away from the four-colour franking, nevertheless an exceptional way to pay the 25 c. inland rate.
