    1860: Prepared for use but not issued: 1½ d. rosy-mauve on blued paper, plate 1, an unused corner marginal block of four from the loweer right corner of the sheet, lettered SK-SL / TK-TL, showing part marginal inscription "(Care)ful not to remove the Cement" at base and Plate Number '1' obscured by the perforations; of fabulous rich colour, the stamps brilliantly fresh and fine, merest hint of vertical gum bend at right on superb large part og. with lower pair unmounted og. A magnificent multiple of great rarity. Cert. As far as one can determine this block was sold in a Puttick & Simpson sale of 29-30 October 1901 in London; still as a block of six SJ-SL / Tj-TL. The 'missing' vertical pair SJ/TJ has not been recorded since.
