    1855: 1 d. red-brown on blued paper, Die II, Alphabet III, wmk. Large Crown, plate 22, lettered AG-AJ, an unused imperforate horizontal strip of four, marginal from top of sheet with imprint "the RIGHT HAND SIDE of the Letter. In Wetting the Back be ca(reful)", in a dark shade of rich depth of colour, unused without gum. This plate was later to be utilised in the experiments with Neale's Steam Press.
