    1840: 1 d. black, plate 5, lettered SA, a used example,with large margins all round and portion of adjoining stamp at top, on 1841 cover from West Burton to Settle, Yorkshire tied by rare and very fine strike of Hawes Maltese Cross in blue. Two line italic "West Burton / Penny Post" adjacent in black and reverse, opening well for Exhibit display, showing "HAWES" undated circle in blue (West Burton only had a Receiving House but no Post Office, Hawes is located some ten miles away).
