    1840: 1 d. black, plate 7, lettered AG-AK / BG-BK, a used block of ten, margins just shaved to large all round, cancelled by Maltese Crosses in red. A famous and extremely rare multiple of good appearance but repaired thins and creases in places. 10d. would pay the rate for a letter up to 5 ounces or the single rate to France - these however normally prepaid in cash Gi AS46 = £ 40'000+.rnRemark: The block adjoins the "Daisy/Sayeed" block of 10 AB-BF, together making a block of 20 and thus the second largest recorded used multiple of the Penny Black.
