    1840: 1 d. black, plate 1a, lettered DG-DJ, a used horizontal strip of four in a worn State, clear to large margins all round, used on 1840 cover to Havant, Hampshire (cover significant wear) neatly tied by Maltese Crosses in red. Reverse with Ipswich despatch cds (June 9) in black. Despite cover faults, the strip is very freshly preserved and attractive.
