    1859 (11. Aug.): 20c. blue,"Vittorio Emanuele II", two stamps both just touched, otherwise fine, tied to letter by "PARMA" cds. dated 11. August 1859. The letter documents the period of use of the Sardinian stamps, before the Provisional Government stamps became available. A very rare usage indeed. Signed A. Diena.
