    1859 (9.Jul.): 5c. black on yellow paper, in mixed franking with 25c.reddish-brown issue 1857. The stamps are used on letter from "PARMA" to "TURIN". They are tied by a clear strike of the "PARMA" barred lozenge. A red arrival "TORINO" (11. Oct.) is applied to the reverse. Due to being stuck close to the edge, the franking shows minor signs of wear, particularly the 5c. black.  A very rare mixed franking of first and third issue. The letter was despatched the day on which Duchessa Maria Luisa II was deposed and the Provisional Government installed. A fabulous letter to display the history of PARMA. Signed E.Diena with certificate (1980).
