    Outgoing to France 1874 (Feb 10): Prepaid cover from Piraeus to Grenoble, bearing 1871/76 Meshed Paper printing 5 l. sage-green, three horizontal pairs and single 40 l. greyish magenta, fresh colours and fair to huge margins, tied by PEIRAEUS despatch cds in black, French framed PD in black and entry "GREECE 27 FEVR 74 St MICHEL AMB" cds in red alongside, GRENOBLE arrival (Feb 28) cds on reverse. File fold below one pair, this with tear at the corner's edge, nevertheless a most unusual way to pay correctly the 70 lepta single rate for a transport with a vessel of the Messageries Imperiales according to the 1866 postal convention between Greece and France. Hellas 39a+42/IIb.
