    Chalons 1868/78: 2 d. blue, Plate II, two singles and a horizontal pair, perf. 13, used on 1878 cover endorsed "via Torres Straits and Brindisi" to London, Dodgson correspondence, tied by unclear barred numeral obliterators with "COMET / QUEENSLAND" despatch datestamp below (May 20) and private "VIA MELBOURNE" straight line in black at left. Reverse with Rockampton, Brisbane (May 25) and London cds's (July 27). Illustrated and listed in the Ben Palmer Queensland census on page 235.
