    1898/99: 2 a grey-lilac, a vertical strip of three (positions 8/16/24) with position 8 inverted (tête-bêche) and a single 1898/99 1 a. deep blue used on 1903 registered cover at single rate plus 1 a. acknowledgement of receipt, from Lyanglyang to Kathmandu tied by circular barred "Lya" handstamp of LYANGLYANG (Hepper page 9, fig. 16) in black and by half negative Lyanglyang despatch cds's (Dec 27 and Dec 28). The 1 a. tied by Kathmandu arrival cds (Dec 31). A remarkable and rare cover.
