    Indian Post Office 1882: 1 a. 6 p. sepia, six examples with 1865 1 a. brown (2), all used on reverse of cover only to Lodhiana all tied by scarce "D" in bars obliterators in black and by framed "REGISTERED / NEPAL" handstamp paying 11 anna rate. "NEPAL" cds of despatch (Oct 9) and Lodhiana arrival (Oct 15) both in black. A rare piece.rnrnNote: Illustrated in "India Used Abroad" by J.A.L. Cooper on page...... rnThe rate breakdown - postage 5 annas for 5 tolas, 2 annas for registration and 4 annas for insurance of 50-100 rupees. The piece is believed to be the largest 19th Century franking from Nepal.
