    B.O.A.C. de Havilland DH 106 First 'Comet' Crash at Jangipara, Calcutta 1953 (May 2): Selection of four envelopes to Ireland, incl. acceptances from Sarawak, Singapore, Penang and Gemas, Malaya, all bearing three line handstamp. 'SALVAGED MAIL / "Comet" Crash Near Calcutta / 2nd May 1953' in violet, of which one Air letter from Sarawak with cachet variety: "....Near Galcutta" with 'G' instead of 'C' as 'Calcutta'. In addition two passenger tickets and one Crew baggage label. Fine and very scarce items Nierinck 530502.
