    1915 (May): German East Africa 6 c. on 7½ h. carmine, handstamped "G. R. / POST / 6 CENTS / MAFIA" in green, a used example, variety "Handstamped Overprint Inverted". Small age spot on reverse at base just shows through to the front of the stamp. Just 50 stamps overprinted, this being one of just two examples recorded with inverted overprint (the other is overprinted in black). A rarity. Signed Holcombe. Cert.
