    1915 (Jan): German East Africa 2 r. green, handstamped "G.R. / MAFIA" in black, a fine unused well centred example, of fine fresh colour, minor gum wrinkle on superb large part og. An exceptionally rare stamp with just 14 (David Field) issued or 20 examples (Bob Gibbs) believed to have been issued regardless of the overprint colour; Gibbs estimates just 8 examples were overprinted in black.
