    Provisional 'Cheque' Issue 1898 (March 11): Provisional 1 d. vermilion & grey-blue, Setting I, an unused example with continuous line at left, close but clear on both sides, signed "J.T.G." (Postmaster General J.T.Gosling) on reverse, of good appearance but with horizontal crease, unused without gum. A very rare stamp. Cert. BPA (1957) Gi = £ 16'000.
