    Arms of the Protectorate 1896: 2 d. black & green and 4 d. black & orange-brown single and horizontal strip of three, all used on 4 d. registration envelope (224 x 112 mm, H&G C7a) to Paris, all tied by TSHIKWAWA / BCA circular datestammps (Jan 16, 1897) in black. Reverse with TSHIROMO / BCA double circle cds (Jan 18), CHINDE / BCA cds (Jan 24) and thence via Cape Town (Feb 10) to Paris (Feb 27).
