    Surcharged by De La Rue on GB 1890 (May 23): 4 a. on 5 d. dull purple & blue, an unused block of four of deep fresh colour, superb large part og. with lower pair unmounted og. Right hand stamps from second vertical row showing "B" over "S" in EAST variety. An exceptionally rare stamp in a multiple: John Minns in "British East Africa" on page 5 records just three blocks of four of this stamp: his top marginal block, this multiple and one housed in the collection of His Majesty King Charles III.
