    Local Surcharges 1885 (Jan-March): Wmk. Crown CC, perf. 14; the unused selection with FIVE CENTS on 32 c. slate with single and a scarce but creased block  of four (Gi 155) of fine appearance, 5 c. on 36 c. blue with crease but fine appearance (Gi 156), fine 5 c. on 64 c. red-brown (Gi 158),  5 c. on 96 c. drab with adherence on gum but a rare stamp (Gi 159), ex D. J. Norris collection (lot 91); 20 c. on 24 c. green (Gi 165), 20 c. on 32 c. slate with both shades (Gi 166 and 166a, one with cert.), 25 c. on 32 c. slate with both shades (Gi 167 and 167a), 28 c. on 48 c. rose (Gi 168), 30 c. on 36 c. blue and 56 c. on 96 c. drab (Gi 170), generally fine, this being a 'Besançon' lot, but a few with faults Gi = £ 1'800+.
