    Prepared for use and sent to Ceylon, but not issued without the 1885 surcharge 1872/80: 2 r. 50 c. dull rose, wmk. Crown CC, perf. 12½ all round, an unused example, well centred and of fresh colour, overprinted "CANCELLED" in blue (Samuel unlisted, 13.5 x 1.5 mm.), unused without gum. Rare and exquisite.
