    Recess by De La Rue on handmade paper 1867/70: 2 d. ochre, 2 d. bistre, 2 d. olive-bistre and 2 d. yellow, wmk. Crown CC type 6, perf. 12½, unused examples of all four listed shades (the 2 d. yellow with watermark reversed), largely fresh and fine, all except the 2 d. yellow with large part og., the 2 d. olive-bistre with some aging on reverse only, this last with cert. BPA. A scarce and difficult to assemble group Gi = £ 525.
