    Recess by De La Rue 1863/66: 6 d. blackish-brown, wmk. Crown CC type 5, perf. 12½, used on 1866 cover to Madras, India tied by barred obliterator in black with "KANDY / PAID" despatch cds in red at left (July 13), reverse with Madras arrival in red. An attractive cover.
