    Recess by De La Rue 1863/66: 1 d. deep blue, wmk. Crown CC type 5, perf. 12½, a used example on 1868 mourning envelope to Kandy, tied by oval "Alex.r Binny Scott & Co / Colombo Ceylon" cachet and by barred obliterator in black with 'Colombo' cds of despatch adjacent (March 30). Kandy arrival in red on reverse of the following day. Cert. RPSL (1975).
